Founded by Mike Kondritz, a lifelong craftsman with an appreciation for quality, character, and timeless design. Blackwater Creek Woodworking specializes in handcrafted wooden mailbox posts and custom woodworking designed to make a lasting impression.

What began as a retirement passion quickly became something more. After years of building, creating, and working with his hands, Mike turned his attention to designing pieces that combine traditional craftsmanship with a polished look. Each project is approached with the same philosophy: build it well, make it beautiful, and create something that will stand the test of time.

More Than a Mailbox

Your mailbox is one of the first things people see when arriving at your home. We believe it should complement the architecture, landscaping, and character of the property.

Our signature mailbox posts are individually handcrafted with careful attention to detail, materials, and finish. Our designs are intended to feel like they have always belonged there.

How to Order

To place an order and view pricing, select the product page that best matches what you’re looking for. From there, you can choose your post style, wood type, end caps, and decorative options.

What Happens After You Order

Once your order is placed, Mike will get to work creating your mailbox post. Each post is handcrafted and made to order, so please allow approximately three weeks for delivery.

Delivery is included for customers in and around the Jasper and Birmingham areas. For locations outside these areas, an additional delivery fee may apply.

Delivery & Installation

We personally hand-deliver your mailbox post, but installation is not included. If you need help finding someone to install your post or attach your mailbox, we can connect you with a trusted handyman in the Birmingham area.

We’ll also need the dimensions of the mailbox you plan to use with your post. Once your order is placed, Mike will reach out to confirm the mailbox size and make sure your post is built to fit.
